Community Use Program

Created to ensure The Pine Grove Community House continues its historic role as a place for connection, learning, and community engagement, the Community Use Program (CUP) offers a reduced-cost option for hosting public events, meetings, activities, and gatherings that are not intended for private or personal financial gain.

Community Events, Shared Space, Collective Good

CUP welcomes local nonprofit organizations as well as private citizens who want to offer programs or activities for the Nehalem Bay area. It supports events that foster belonging, align with our mission, and are open and publicly promoted.

From cultural programs and lectures, to nonprofit fundraisers and wellness classes, these community-centered gatherings help keep our doors open to everyone.

The Community Use Program continues to evolve based on interest and our ability to support it responsibly. As a result, some aspects of the program may change.

Eligibility to qualify for CUP:

  • CUP activities are expected to be open and welcoming to everyone, with clear efforts made to promote the activity throughout the community.

  • CUP activities are designed to benefit the community and are not intended to generate private, personal income, or personal promotion.

  • Funds may be collected to cover basic expenses such as the operational fee, preset speaker or entertainer fees, and necessary supplies. Any proceeds collected beyond expenses must support a local nonprofit organization and may not be for personal gain.

  • A donation of net profits to The Pine Grove is welcome and helps us continue to offer our Community Use Program to nonprofit organizations and individuals in the area while preserving our historic building.
